The varnishes allow for the most resistant finishes which are able to better protect your furniture from the effects of small spills, shocks, scratches and heat.
Trust in the excellent decorative power of a good varnish, enhancing the woods of your furniture and their finishes. NEUCE Varnishes are available in various glosses and allow you to adapt the finish of your furniture to the ambience that suits you.
Varnish your furniture with NEUCELAC for long-lasting finishes or with NEUCEÁQUA or colorless WOODNEUCE if you want a watery, odorless product of great quality.
Use colored WOODNEUCE if you wish to refresh your decoration by modifying or intensifying the color of the wood on your furniture.
If possible, place the furniture you wish to varnish in an area where you can work more easily without the risk of damaging objects, walls or floor.
Remove the drawers and doors, handles, hinges and insulate the glass doors of the furniture with tape and paper.
Move the furniture away from the walls and other furniture so as to be able to work in a more ample area.
If possible, lay the furniture down so as to varnish all horizontal surfaces.
The surface must be dry, degreased and free of irregularities.
Use medium-grit sandpaper, always in the direction of the wood grain, to smooth the surface.
Apply a coat of NEUCEPOR pore filler to seal the pores and cover the wood.
Varnish with NEUCELAC or NEUCEÁQUA if you want a perfect lacquering.
WOODNEUCE may be used alternatively without using pore filler because it is a lasur and as such acts by impregnation.
Lightly sand between coats in the direction of the wood grain with medium grit sandpaper, then wipe down with a damp cloth to remove sanding dust.
Sand the surface with medium grit sandpaper, always in the direction of the wood grain, in order to remove the shine and allow for good adhesion of the new varnish coat.
With the help of a brush, remove any dust that has entered the slits of decorative reliefs and friezes of wood with a damp cloth and make sure all the dust is removed from the surface. Never use a cleaning brush to varnish.
Make sure that the surface is very dry and then varnish with Neuceáqua, Neucelac or Woodeuce, sanding lightly between coats.
If you apply woodneuce, first ensure that the sanding has completely removed the previous varnish.
Gently clean the wood after each sanding, removing the sanding dust with the help of a brush and a damp cloth.
Respect the product technical data sheet in relation to the dilution ratio. An incorrect dilution can hamper the application and affect the outcome, contributing to a poor lacquering.
Apply the varnish with a suitable brush or roller.
Start with smaller surfaces such as legs, ribs or flanges, and drawers, and then varnish the larger surfaces such as table tops, doors and sides.
Use a fine brush on the slits and relief, thereby preventing excessive accumulation of varnish.
Apply with gentle, long strokes in the direction of the wood grain. Pass the tip of the brush on the edges, thus correcting the excesses of varnish. Thick layers of varnish tend to crack, get blemishes or drip.
End with long, strong strokes, almost without varnish, from one end of the surface to the other so as to homogenize the lacquer on the surface.
Wash the accessories thoroughly with soap and water if using an aqueous product, or with NITRO CELLULOSE THINNER if using NEUCELAC, and let them dry thoroughly before storing.
Keep varnish remnants stored in a tightly closed container, in a place protected from direct sunlight and away from humidity and heat sources.
Recycle or reuse the materials used for the protection and insulation of areas and place the empty containers in the appropriate recycle bin.
